Marty Seifert issued the following statement on Senator David Hann:
"There has been no stronger voice for our core conservative principles than Senator David Hann.
David's first-rate intellect and deep understanding of policy issues is unmatched in the legislature. David has been a champion for meaningful education reform in Minnesota – there is no greater expert on education policy. David is proof that Republicans win in swing districts when we stick to our principles.
I have admired David's courage on the campaign trail in expressing his values - pro-life, pro-family, and faith in God. David understands that the building blocks of a strong community are faith, family, and education - a sentiment I share. I wish David all the best and look forward to working with him in the future."
ST PAUL- Representative Marty Seifert announced four new legislative endorsements today. Joining the team are Representative Pat Garofalo (R-Farmington), Representative Larry Howes (R-Walker), Representative Denny McNamara (R-Hastings), and Representative Joyce Peppin (R-Rogers). Seifert commented, "After a big win at precinct caucuses last week, I am proud to have the support of legislators from such diverse districts. Our campaign is a statewide campaign that continues to grow every week."
Representative Marty Seifert released the following statement regarding the Freedom Foundation Minnesota report on taxpayers and job creators leaving Minnesota:
"This important study soundly and clearly refutes the argument made by the DFL candidates for governor. The DFL solution to 'tax the rich' simply does not work. This study validates core conservative values - the power of the free market, limited government, and individual responsibility.
As I travel our great state, job creators continually tell me that Minnesota is a wonderful place to live but a tough state to do business. If we do not reform the regulatory and business environment, Minnesota will face the same fate as Michigan, California, and New York - a massive out-migration of the highest wage-earners which will only worsen Minnesota’s budget problems."
